Yonathan began riding at the age of 5. At 13, he started riding with horse trainer Ilan Rosenberg, and was introduced to Reining. Yonathan rode with Ilan until the age of 16, when he began training on his own. At age 18, he began a three year term of military service.  After his military service, Yonathan had the opportunity to manage one of the largest riding schools in Israel, with over 200 students and 5 instructors. He regularly took at least 30 to 35 youth and non pro students to surrounding AQHA shows. 

After his success in Israel, Yonathan move to the United States to further his education in the training of Reining Horses. He was assistant trainer to NRHA Professional and Four Million Dollar rider, Craig Schmersal, for over 6 years.  Yonathan gained a wealth of experience training and showing aged event horses.

Over recent years, Yonathan has established himself as a noteworthy trainer and showman, having been a L4 finalist at every major NRHA event.  He works tirelessly to make Baruch Reining Horses the best it can be in all aspects.  He is dedicated to helping each horse reach it’s maximum potential, and is committed to treating customers, assistants and employees with honesty and respect. He attributes much of his success to attention to detail and gives every horse the very best of care and training possible.
 

Baruch Reining Horses is based in Whitesboro, Texas, located midway between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, the heart of the western performance horse industry.  Visitors are always welcome, and there are always nice horses available for sale.
